Businesses run on Baseline.

Your people should be doing their jobs, not fighting the technology.

Baseline replaces the mix of logins, computers, file systems, and support vendors with one Microsoft 365 setup that we build and run for you. Every employee gets one company sign-in. Every company computer is set up the same way. Email, files, calendars, and Teams work together. Help starts in one place.

In 30 minutes, we will map how your company works today, show what Baseline would change, and outline the clearest path forward.

  • Microsoft 365 licensing included
  • Predictable per-employee pricing
  • One managed Microsoft setup

Why it feels normal

Most small-business IT was never designed. It accumulated.

Nobody decided this. It arrived one reasonable purchase at a time.

Nobody decided to build a mess. One person bought Dropbox. Another needed Slack. A server stayed because migration felt risky. A local admin account solved a problem once. Each decision was reasonable. Together, they became a system no one can explain.

  • Consumer computers bought one at a time, each set up a little differently.
  • Local logins that nobody can recover, audit, or remove.
  • Files spread across personal drives, an old server, and two storage services.
  • Overlapping subscriptions that duplicate what you already pay Microsoft for.
  • Security products added one vendor at a time, with no single owner.

What it actually costs

Every workaround adds an exception, a bill, and one more way for work to stop. The visible cost is the invoice. The larger cost is employee time: interruptions, duplicate communication, and the coordination your managers absorb.

Left alone long enough, it becomes an expensive renovation. By then your people have adapted to the bad process, and they resist the fix.

Recurring support is a symptom, not the problem. The problem is that the friction stopped being visible once it became routine.

The idea behind all of it

What we mean by a standard.

  • Every employee gets one company sign-in.
  • Every company computer follows the same basic setup.
  • Email, files, calendars, and Teams work together.
  • Hiring, departures, software changes, and support follow one clear process.

No more one-off logins, one-off computers, or one-off fixes. That is what Baseline means by a standard.

The change

Two very different services are both called IT support.

Most IT companies try to support whatever mix of tools and computers you already have. Baseline takes a different approach. We simplify the mix first, then manage one consistent setup. Fewer products. Fewer exceptions. Fewer reasons for anyone to ask for help.

A contrast between two ways of working, not a claim about any specific provider.

How it works

Four parts of work, made consistent.

Baseline makes four parts of work consistent: people, computers, company work, and support. The value is not one feature. The value is that the parts stop fighting each other.

The Baseline Manager Portal open inside Microsoft Teams, pinned in the left app rail. The Employees screen for a fictional 15-person company shows a summary row of 15 total active employees, 13 desktop employees, and 2 mobile employees. Below it a table lists each employee with their work email, status, role, desktop or mobile type, and whether their passkey is enabled. A notice above the summary says when employees were last synced from Microsoft.
This is the real Manager Portal, opened where your team already works. Every employee, whether they use a computer or work only from a phone, and whether their password-free sign-in is ready, all on one screen. Fictional company data.

Security

Security that arrives already turned on.

Most small businesses already pay for powerful security tools. The problem is that nobody fully sets them up, or keeps every computer consistent. Baseline does.

  • Microsoft Defender protection and endpoint detection and response, or EDR, on supported company computers
  • Microsoft Defender for Office 365 checks email links and attachments for phishing and malware
  • Web filtering can block selected categories of risky sites
  • BitLocker encrypts the computer drive
  • Windows Firewall settings are turned on and managed
  • Desktop, Documents, and Pictures are automatically saved to OneDrive

When a supported computer joins Baseline, the settings are delivered automatically. Employees do not have to install them, configure them, or remember to keep them running.

The same week, again

Now run that week on a standard.

Problems will still happen. The difference is that fewer problems come from every employee, computer, and account being set up differently.

  • Sign-in problems become less common, and recovery follows a defined path. A passkey lives on a device the person already has, and a manager can start a reset from the portal.
  • Duplicate tools can be retired because the Microsoft setup has a defined role, and the subscriptions that overlapped it come off the bill on a schedule you agree to.
  • Recurring problems are addressed by changing the setup, not by getting faster at restarting the symptom.
  • Access removal has one place and one moment. A manager removes the person in the portal and can follow offboarding through to completion.
  • Support follows one path inside Teams, with published hours and response targets.
  • New employees follow a guided sign-in and computer setup before their first day, so day one is work rather than waiting.
  • Company work stays in managed cloud locations, so a broken computer is not automatically a data-recovery crisis.
  • Growth stops requiring a renovation. The tenth hire and the fiftieth follow the same process, because there is only one process.

Getting there

The move is a planned project, not a weekend surprise.

See the current setup clearly

We make a clear list of who works there, what computers they use, where files live, what apps matter, and which old systems people still depend on. Costs and timing are agreed before anyone signs.

Build clean and move deliberately

Baseline builds the new Microsoft setup first. People, email, files, and computers move in planned stages. Every new customer gets a new Microsoft 365 setup rather than a conversion of the old one.

Run on the standard

Hiring, access, computers, teamwork, security, and support all follow one process. Old tools come off only after the replacement is ready and the timing is agreed.

The stages, the responsibility split, and the published charges are on the migration page.

A clear standard. A predictable price.

One predictable price for each kind of employee.

Baseline works best for companies ready to standardize sign-in, Windows computers, and Microsoft 365. We guide the change, agree the timeline before work begins, and publish the complete requirements on the Pricing and Fit Check pages.

Mobile User

$25per user per month

Fit

Built for companies ready to simplify.

  • You are willing to use Microsoft 365 as the main place for company email, files, calendars, meetings, and sign-in.
  • You are willing to replace company computers that are too old for the required version of Windows.
  • You are comfortable letting Baseline manage the master Microsoft settings while you are a customer.
  • You are willing to retire duplicate tools once the new setup is ready.
  • Your company can use remote support during Baseline’s published business hours.

Have a physical office server, a special machine, or an older program your business cannot run without? The five-minute fit check will show you what to bring to the first conversation.

July 2026 Baseline operating data

1.6

support requests per employee per year

6

minutes of technician time per request

In July 2026, Baseline customers created relatively few support requests. Most needed only a small amount of technician work, because common changes and recurring problems had already been made consistent or automated.

Combined support numbers from all Baseline customers for July 2026. These are rates from a single month, not a result promised to any individual company.
